The City of Lago Vista is laying pipe under the Highland Lakes Golf Course with the help of a grant from LCRA. The 13,500 feet of pipe will enable the golf course to use recycled water instead of potable water on its greens and fairways. Using effluent will reduce the amount of water that needs to be drawn from the Highland Lakes. The project is expected to save about 700 million gallons of water over 10 years.
