Pipeline Plastics, LLC of Westlake, TX has announced expansion of their HDPE pipe manufacturing capacity as part of their long-term strategy to provide products to customers in all regions of the country. Pipeline Plastics currently has manufacturing facilities in Decatur and Levelland, TX, and Belle Fourche, SD.

The expansion will add multiple extrusion lines to their Levelland operation in West Texas, highlighted by a high capacity extrusion line with the ability to produce HDPE pipe from 12” IPS to 36” IPS/DIPS (1,000mm). The existing Levelland site is already one of the largest polyethylene pipe plants in the US and currently produces sizes up to 65” diameter. Ronnie Wear, Vice President of Manufacturing, said “We are very excited about this state-of-the-art extrusion line and expect it to be online by the end of the year.”

Also included in the current expansion is the addition of a second 12” IPS to 36” IPS/DIPS (1,000mm) line to their Belle Fourche, SD operation. This line is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2019, making additional product sizes available to the Midwest and Western U.S. In 2019 Pipeline Plastics will be starting up a new plant on the East Coast, with further details to be announced later this year.

Mary Houston, Vice President of Sales, said “When we started this business six years ago we made some bold promises to our customers: that we would be the best-in-class in quality and customer service, and do whatever it takes to meet their needs. Now we are thrilled to be fulfilling that promise once again.”
